In 2012, Lights on the Lawn was created to support a Vanderbilt fraternity member who suffered a severe spinal cord injury. With the support of the student body, Vanderbilt University, and community-focused sponsors, over $293K was raised to purchase rehab equipment and to support survivors of sexual and domestic abuse.

In 2018, the mission has been expanded to Indiana with the biggest lineup to date to support the Boys & Girls Club of Bloomington to empower youth and fight childhood hunger and poverty.
