Boomer Ball Bash


You are invited to join B97 for a fun afternoon at the 2nd annual Boomer Ball Bash in Bloomington to celebrate the 24th year of great work for the big cats by The Exotic Feline Rescue Center!  The event is Sunday, October 5th from 3-6 at Sycamore Farm on W. That Road. Wonderful live music, fabulous food by Gerrick's BBQ, Upland Beer, wine, soft drinks, live and silent auctions, and surprises. Monroe County Toys for Tots


Saturday, October 4th, join the Monroe County Toys for Tots for the Golf Scramble at Stonecrest Golf Course, 9300 S. Bennett Lane, Bedford, Indiana. Beginning at 2 pm, first place will receive a cash prize! There will also be a raffle and random score card drawings for lots of nice prizes! $55 per person covers golf, dinner and prizes! Owen Valley Sports Complex


Join us on September 19, 2014 from 7-10pm for a 6-8th grade dance! Or on September 26th, for a 4th-6th grade dance! Both dances will be held at the sports complex and will be $10 to enter! 

Building Bridges Symposium


Monroe County Religious Leaders & The Monroe County United Ministries present the 3rd annual Building Bridges Symposium. This event will be held from on October 11 at The Warehouse at 1525 S. Rogers St. in Bloomington. The day kicks off at 9:30a.m. and features talks with Congressman Lee Hamilton and Professor James Calvin Davis, a panel discussion moderated by Bob Zaltsberg, and a demonstration of civil debate. Lunch will be provided by Food Works of Middle Way House. We will be identifying how "we got where we are" in the level of incivilty of public discourse and how we can be positive advocates and achievers in nurturing civility.
