Brown County Parks & Recreation will be hosting a "Halloweenie Roast" at Deer Run Park on Friday, October 16th, 2015. Party will begin at 6pm with pumpkin painting, bounce house, hay rides, magic show, and games. We will have weenie and marshmallow roasting as well as ghost stories around the bon fire throughout the night. Beginning at Dusk we will be showing "Beetlejuice" as our Halloween screening of "Movies in the Park". Costumes are welcome, please bring your lawn chairs and blankets for the movie! Brown County Parks & Recreation would like to thank our sponsors;  Seward Party Rentals, Farmer's Insurance, and The Story Inn, and Kelp's Pumpkin Patch for helping us make this FREE family event possible.

The "Boots and Bourbon" themed event will be held Saturday, Oct. 17 at 6:30 p.m. at Lucas Oil Estate in Carmel. The evening will include dinner, silent and live auctions, a mechanical bull, bourbon tasting, and entertainment by local modern country band Airstream Betty.


Auction items include Colts tickets, weekend getaway trips, an Apple watch, bourbon packages, an Ed Carpenter autographed racing helmet, golf packages at premier Indianapolis courses, and more.

All proceeds from the event will go to Foundation-supported charities. Locally supported charities include Gleaners Food Bank of Indiana, Happy Hollow Children's Camp, and The Julian Center.


Tickets are $100 each and can be purchased online, or by calling (317) 715-8414. Dress is casual. Jeans and boots encouraged.
