Walking Program

            8:00am every Tuesday morning      

Come walk with us every Tuesday morning at 8:00am. All ages are welcome! Meet on the patio at the Bloomfield Public Library.


Movie Marathon
            12:30pm and 2:30pmFriday August 3
Join us Friday August 3rd at our movie marathon. We will be showing two of the same movies, an older and new version, then you can decide which one is better! Popcorn and drinks will be provided. 7th grade and up, anyone under 16 must be accompanied by an adult. Call the library to see what movies we are showing!


Recycle Craft 

            2-3pm or 6-7pm, Monday August 6

Join us at the Bloomfield Public library for Recycle Crafts! We will be making CD Coasters, all materials will be provided, but you are welcome to bring your own materials. Adults only, please!


A Gathering of Gamers

            Thursday August 23, 3:30-5:00

Spend an afternoon playing your favorite games including board games, card games, and Wii games. Snacks and soda will be provided. Grades 7-12.


Teen Movie Night

            Monday August 20, 5pm-7pm

Spend an evening watching a movie! Snacks and soda will be provided. Call the Bloomfield Public Library too find out the movie that will be shown. Grades 7-12.


Adult Cookbook Club

            Wednesday August 29, 2:00pm

ADULTS! Join our cooking club and learn how to make your kitchen rock! We’ll be using fresh seasonal ingredients that you can find at the Farmer’s Market or the local grocery store!

Recipes will be advertised the week before so make sure to watch for what we’re making so you can plan ahead! Ingredients provided.


Teen Tuesdays

            Tuesday August 7, 3:30-4:30pm, Teens grades 7-12

Join us in the Bloomfield Public Library Community Room to chat about your favorite books and movies, play awesome games, create cool crafts and enjoy snacks! Share ideas and help plan library events that you want to attend!


Teen Summer Reading Program

            May 25 – August 8

For teens entering grades 7-12. Teen summer reading lasts 11 weeks, come to the Teen Room to register and collect prizes for reading!


Adult Summer Reading Program

            July 2 – September 1

Starting July 2nd you can turn in slips for the books you’ve read—one slip per book! Receive a prize for each week in which you turn in slips. One slip each week will be drawn for a prize, including State Fair tickets! All slips will be entered into the grand prize drawing at the end of the reading challenge for a special prize.


Area 10

Area 10 Agency on Aging is seeking individuals age 18 and above to support the Monroe and Owen County Adult Guardianship Program as volunteer advocates. 

Training is provided and a commitment of 6-10 hours per month is required. Apply now to join the next orientation and training group. Contact Area 10 Agency on Aging. 


Seekers of Serenity Nar-Anon Family Group

Affected by a Loved One’s Addiction?


Seekers of Serenity, the local Nar-Anon Family Group offers hope for relatives and friends of addicts, with their twelve-step program. Seekers of Serenity meets each Tuesday evening at 7:30pm at Sherwood Oaks Christian Church, upstairs in Room 224.
