Brown County Community Foundation Volunteer Fair

The brown county community foundation volunteer fair is at the brown county fairgrounds on Saturday, August 18th from 11-2. 
There will be games for kids and concessions available. This is a great way to learn about the different not-for-profit organizations in the community and how to help.  
There will be voting for the best booth!

Nortside Exchange Club Fish Fry

Bloomington Northside Exchange Club is holding its' 50th annual Jimmy Ross "all you can eat" Jonah Fish Fry, Friday August 10th at the west concourse of the IU Football Stadium.

Serving starts at 4:30 pm and continues until 7pm. The menu consists of Icelandic cod, coleslaw, baked beans, chips, bread and drink. Pie is available for purchase.

Tickets are $10 for adults, children under 12 are $3. Tickets can be purchased from any Exchangite or call Dan Hays at 812-272-1182 for ticket information.

Monroe Lake Clean Up

A summer full of fun and recreation at Monroe Lake creates more than memories, it also resluts in a lot of trash along the shoreline.

The Monroe Lake DNR needs your help on September 9th to clean up the mess and restore the lakeshore to an inviting habitat for both people and wildlife.

4th Street Festival

The 4th Street Festival was created in 1977 by Bloomington area artists and craftspeople to showcase southern Indiana talent. The fair has grown to include artists from all over the country. Held anually on the Labor Day weekend on Fourth and Grant Streets in Bloomington, the festival relies on volunteers to make it a success.

So don't just plan on attending the festival - volunteer!

IU Campus Children's Center Volunteers

Do you enjoy spending time iwht young children? Are you age 55 or older? If your answer is yes to both of these questions, the children in a classroom at the IU Campus Children's center would love to have you volunteer to share your time with them.

The Campus Children's Center provides the Indiana University community with quality year-round early care and education from children ages 6 weeks through 5 years- serving families of IU student, staff, and faculty members.

Volunteers enjoy playing, reading and reading, and occasionally working on projects with the children.
