Mark your calendars! Habitat for Humanity, an organization that works in partnership with low-income families to build simple, decent, affordable housing, is holding an information meeting: 10-11a Saturday, February 7, 2015 at the First Christian Church, 205 E. Kirkwood Ave. Qualified families must have a need for housing, the ability to pay for housing, and a willingness to partner with Habitat. Habitat homebuyers put in 250 volunteer hours to build their own and other families' homes. For more details, call the Habitat office at 331.4069.

Our annual Hannah House & CPC Shower of Caring. All are welcome to attend. Come and enjoy the music, the food, and the people. We will be sharing about the services of the Hannah House & CPC. It will be at St. Charles in Parish Hall on 3rd and High. The date is February 1st from 1 - 4 pm. Donations and gifts for babies are accepted and appreciated. The Montezuma Park Board 3rd Annual, All American Chili Cook Off! Saturday, February 28, 2015 from 5-7pm at the Montezuma Community Center. No entry fee for your team to participate. You are asked to prepare your best chili for tasting to bring with you on that evening. Teams will decorate their table and dress "All American". Prize for the Best Decorated Team and People's Choice Best Chili Award. No ticket fees for tasting. And Silent Auction! All proceeds go towards Parks Improvements. 



The Community Justice and Mediation Center (CJAM) offers a 48-hour training program for those interested in learning about conflict resolution, mediation, and restorative justice. The training provides the background and skills necessary to work as a community mediator and restorative justice practitioner and qualifies participants to volunteer in CJAM's programs. The Winter/Spring 2015 training will take place from 8:30am to 5:30pm February 7&8, 21&22, and March 7&8 at the IU Maurer School of Law. Tuition is $300, easrly bird registration is $250 if received and paid by January 23. Scholarships are available.
