Comedian and Saturday Night Live alum Emil Wakim will film his debut stand-up special for Netflix at The Comedy Attic in Bloomington this October.

 

Wakim first began performing stand-up comedy in Bloomington while studying at Indiana University. Since finding national success as a Just for Laughs Comedy Festival “New Face of Comedy” and as a cast member on season 50 of SNL, Wakim has returned periodically to The Comedy Attic in Bloomington for shows.

 

This small-venue taping is a rarity for Netflix, which has filmed only one other comedy special in a location other than a theatre.

 

The special will be taped across five shows at The Comedy Attic in Bloomington on October 22, 23, and 24.
